Privacy Policy

YAADSTREAM is a free radio directory. We collect very little information, and we don't require an account to use the site. Here's exactly what's gathered and why.

What we collect

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics may set cookies to do this — see Google's own privacy policy for how they handle that data.
• Local browser storage. Your favourite stations, recently played list, theme preference (dark/light), and a random anonymous ID (used only to show "listeners online now" in aggregate) are all stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device except the anonymous ID, which is sent to our server solely to count active listeners — it isn't tied to your identity.
• Server logs. Like most web servers, ours may log basic request data (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for security and debugging. We don't cross-reference this with anything else.

What we don't collect

We don't have user accounts, so we don't collect names, emails, or passwords from visitors. We don't sell or share any data with third parties beyond the analytics provider above.

Third-party streams

When you play a station, your browser connects to that station's own streaming infrastructure (directly or via our server as a relay). Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Your choices

You can clear your favourites, recent list, and theme preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. You can also block analytics cookies using your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker without affecting playback.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
